Our New Community

The purchase of the property at 314 Booth Street was the culmination of a long search for an ideal site on which to build.  After all, a wonderful new building needed to be built in the right place! It is a short few blocks from the commercial businesses on Somerset Street.   The Cornerstone facility will be among a number of buildings that are former residential buildings, converted into small retail and industrial businesses.  One of our neighbours will be the Somerset West Community Health Centre; their services will be a welcome addition to the support net work available to Cornerstone residents.  We have been warmly welcomed into the neighbourhood by local residents.  The Dalhousie Community Association felt that this project offers a much needed service, fits in very well with the neighbours and the neighbourhood and is a welcome development on this corner (Booth and Eccles).
